Scallop Trim border and Corner punches

I have seen a few sites that have Scallop Trim border and Corner punch measurements. I needed a few other sizes so I thought I would post what I came up with! It takes forever to try all these out, not to mention a lot of paper so sharing these so everyone doesn't have to do it is great. Thanks everyone else for posting your sizes too!
  • 5 11/16" makes a square that has 12 scallops along each side.
  • 5 1/4" makes a square that has 11 scallops along each side.
  • 4 3/4" makes a square that has 10 scallops along each side.
  • 4 5/16" makes a square that has 9 scallops on each side. (I had seen 4 1/4" on other sites but that was just off for me)
  • 3 13/16" makes a square that has 8 scallops along each side.
  • 3 1/4" makes a square than has 7 scallops along each side.
  • 2 7/8" makes a square that has 6 scallops on each side.
  • 2 3/8" makes a square that has 5 scallops on each side.
  • 1 15/16" uses only the corner punch and has 4 scallops on each side.
  • 1 1/2" uses only the corner punch but overlaps the center scallop making only 3 scallops on each side.
For a card front 5 1/4" x 4 5/16" works very good.
For a small saying 1 15/16" x 2 3/8" works very good.

Heartfelt Hearts

I made this card for the Cards and Things Sketch Challenge #16. Below is the sketch to go off of. Obviously I changed it around a bit! The thing I really like about this card is that it still opens on the left like a regular card and it's 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and fits in a standard envelope! I used the heartfelt from Heartfelt Thanks and just cut it out.

More Top Note Die Shapes!

I am so excited about these other shapes using the Top Note die! This card is using Baroque Motifs, Once Upon a Time, the Photo Corners punch, the top note die, Bride DSP and the scallop oval frame die! CLICK HERE to see how I got this shape using the Top Note die. The oval is from the scallop oval frame die with the big shot. Below is how I cut the red(brown in the picture) Top Note shape to go behind the pink one on the card.I thought this would make a great Valentine card or a wedding card! The colors are Real Red, Pretty in pink and Regal Rose.

Inspiration Challenge

The cake above is the "inspiration" that was given for the Inspiration Challenge #54 this week on the Late Night Stampers. Here is my card below... I am not so much of a fan but I did it so I thought I would share. I might have to try again.

New Top Note Shapes!

I have been playing around with the Top Note die and the Big Shot and have come up with some fun new shapes. The regal rose shape in the card above is using the top note die.
Here is a step by step of how to make them!

Cut out a top note shape, turn it 90 degrees and put it through again.

Turn it 45 degrees and put it through again.

Turn it 90 degrees and put it through again.(I have a card coming using this shape too!)

Now you have this great circle shape!

LOVE Candle Holder Luminary

This is a great easy to make candle holder luminary!

It is 4” square so it holds a 3" pillar candle very nicely! The light shines through the sides making it a great centerpiece. It makes a wonderful gift for Valentine’s Day with LOVE spelled out on the sides or you can change the colors for any occasion!

This would also be a great project for a Valentine's Day class!

Cupcake Box Contest Entry

I stumbled across the contest below and thought it would be fun to enter. You have to use purple, brown and kraft to make any type of project or card and it has to include stripes. I really liked these colors together and I love the striped Bride Specialty DSP that you can brayer any color so it was perfect!
On this box for stamps I used Voila to Go and Once Upon a Time and the colors are Chocolate Chip, Kraft, and Rich Razzleberry. This Box fits two cupcakes inside(or anything else you want to put in) and you can use it for any occasion! I thought this would make a great wedding box. You can get the template and directions to make this box by CLICKING HERE!

Scallop Circle Folded Flower

This scallop flower is made using the scallop circle punch and is really easy to do! Carrie Wilson demonstrated it in our last Green Mtn. Stampers meeting. I added a few pictures of the steps to make it but all the credit for this goes to her! I thought it was great and she said I could share it on my blog, so here it is!
Below are her directions and then I have some more pictures of doing it after. I would suggest using Designer Series Paper that has two very different patterns or colors on the two sides for some contrast.

The first picture is the front of step 6, then unfolded and cut in half.

Refold the two halves and you have two opposite halves showing both colors. Punch another scallop circle out of cardstock and put tape all over it.

Start taping down your triangles centered near the middle. You will not see the cardstock scallop at all so don't worry if it overlaps the edges.

Here it is finished and then with the rhinestone brad in the center.

This is the back just to give you an idea about the overlap.

Here is a picture of Carries' flower using the large scallop die cut with the scallop punched circle in the center!

Thanks Carrie for your great technique!

Pull-Out Pages Scrapbook

Here is a great new scrapbook! It opens like a book and has four hidden pull-out pages so you can add more pictures or writing and slide them in and out. The overall size of the book is 8" x 5 1/2" and easily fits 7 - 4" x 6" photos or more if they are smaller. This album is great to give as a gift for any occasion or scrapbook for yourself of a fun family event or holiday. This would make a great project for a scrapbooking class too!
